Game-changing Sukin Skincare Products You Need to Try

We often tend to look at the ingredients that are used to make the food we eat but, we never pay attention to what goes into the products that we use on the largest organ of our body, the skin. The Australian bran, Sukin Naturals, advocates the use of more natural ingredients and craft beautiful products that are free from additives and any harsh chemicals that can cause damage to our skin.

Sukin Naturals recently launched their skincare range in the United Arab Emirates. I was quite excited as had heard so much about the amazing quality of their skincare range and their potential to work wonders on your skin! At their launch party, we were introduced to the top products from their skincare line.

While in the UK, I tried products from their haircare range and was in love! This prompted me to try their skincare range. Over the past month, I have given all their top products a go and wanted to share my experience with you!

I moved back to Dubai for a few months this fall. Although I was more than ready to have some much-needed time at home to relax before the start of med school, my skin wasn’t. Due to the extreme heat in Dubai, air conditioners are present indoor everywhere you go. ACs can really strip you skin of any moisture and this is exactly what happened to me! Within days of landing in Dubai, I had developed these dry patches all over my face. These patches were almost eczema-like and made makeup application impossible.

I began using the Rosehip Hydrating Day Crème just before applying my primer as a base. Alongside rosehip oil, this product has blends of pomegranate, Kakadu plum and avocado (for all those avo-loving millennials out there!) to help achieve a bright and radiant complexion. The product really kept my skin hydrated all day and allowed to me apply makeup to my seriously dry and flaky skin.

SukinXJessica: Jessica Kahawaty attended the launch event and shared her favorite Sukin products; (1) Super Green Detoxifying Clay Masque, (2)Paw Paw Ointment, (3) Certified Organic Rosehip Oil, (4)Super Greens Detoxifying Facial scrub, (5)Energizing Body Scrub.

I wanted to eliminate this issue completely, so I incorporated their Certified Organic Rosehip Oil. This product has no less than 70% essential fatty acids and vitamins to help soothes, soften and hydrate the skin. Rosehip oil, in general, helps combat countless problems such as ageing, scars, acne, dull skin, redness, uneven skin tone etc. The oil comes in a glass bottle with an incredibly helpful dropper that has the perfect shape that aids application. I apply 2-3 drops and gently massage with my fingers. The dry skin had flared-up on my nose, making countering a nightmare! I also began to apply a pea-sized amount of the Paw Paw Ointment to the affected area. I had been searching for such a product for years! It is a multipurpose ointment meant to nourish chapped lips and dehydrated skin. It contains natural oils, wax and extracts of Castor Seed Oil and Papaya. The product has a thick consistency, so a little product goes a long way. This has defiantly helped improve the texture of my dry and dehydrated skin.

I’m sure you’ll agree when I say that the weekends are meant for pampering yourself! On a typical Saturday, you’ll find me with a face full of the Sukin Super Green Detoxifying Clay Masque and a massive cup of green tea! It contains a base of kaolin and bentonite alongside kale, spirulina, parsley and chlorella to detoxify and vitamins for a healthy glow. Unlike some clay masks, this product doesn’t strip my skin of moisture and leaves my skin looking so dewy! It has this amazing cranberry scent to it as well.

Sukin Naturals also crafts products aims specifically at men, such as the Facial Cleanser and the Facial Scrub pictures above.

The build-up of old, dead skin can slow down the skin processes and prevent it from looking younger. Having dry skin definitely requires me to exfoliate less often but, it still plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy skin. I tried the Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Facial scrub and it’s a game-changer! It contains a nutrient rich blend of Kale, Spirulina and Parsley that helps brighten my complexion whilst improving its texture. The presence of Pineapple and Licorice root extracts helped balance any excess oils and tone my skins appearance! It gently exfoliates my skin without being too harsh. I now use it once a week or whenever my skin appears dull. Exfoliating your body is equally important. I began using the Energizing Body Scrub twice a week to help revitalize my skin. Its exfoliating ability arises from the use of coffee beans and coconut shells (for those of you who follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I love a good coffee scrub!). Alongside this, it also contains Aloe Vera, Jojoba, Sesame Seed Oil, Rosehip, and Vitamin E. These ingredients leave my skin feeling energized and polished!

Sukin’s philosophy really spoke to me and as you can tell, I’ve enjoyed using all their skincare products. I’ve already created a list of the ones I would like to try next! They’ve worked miracles on my dry and dehydrated skin and I cannot recommend them enough! All Sukin products can be purchased from Holland & Barrett in the United Kingdom (UK) and at Life Pharmacy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
